About Version Protection
Version protection is an optional software maintenance contract that covers you for version updates to the software.
Each new WinGate and WinGate VPN license comes with 1 year version protection cover included from the purchase date.
Having a license covered by version protection entitles you to free version updates. As long as your license is covered by version protection at the time we release a version, you will be able to use that version.
Version protection can be renewed annually at a cost of 25% of the list price of the protected license if the policy is still active, or 40% if it has lapsed.
Once you are entitled to use a version of the software, you may use that version forever, the version protection policy only covers version updates.
